Munchkin duty and interesting day printing

I was very lucky and got the munchkin for an afternoon!  He loves playing with the point and shoot camera (and gadgets in general).  Wonder where he gets this from?

His turn with the camera

My turn
Pressure printing with the C&P.  I decided to do nearby road trips this summer instead of traveling to PBI/Penland/Arrowmont/Shakerag or other interesting workshops.  I followed them through people who have blogged about them and one of the more interesting classes was pressure printing at PBI in Michigan.
Mixing red and white to make pink

Pretty patterns on rollers

I used a crochet doily as my texture behind tympan paper (no packing)
Used large wooden block letters and got interesting texture

Final prints, pale ones were second print (no inking) to try for max texture
Couldn't tell it was crochet, but still got interesting texture.  Then tried small doily with battenburg lace on the edges.

Ink fully mixed

Cool huh?  Center of doily didn't print, just heavier lace on edges
Yep, interesting day printing!
