Took these photos on my morning walk, lovely hibiscus blooming

All is right with the world

Palm trees and gingerbread

Where do squirrels live?  In big messy nests in the trees!

Working on my "things to do" list

One item off my list of "things to do" is a bike rack.  My very talented #1 son made one for his bike and I've wanted one ever since.  This one is a different design and is made so that you can put it in the back of a pick-up bed and carry bikes.  The online instructions said it would cost $20 and take one hour to construct.  It cost me about $35 and took me about an hour and a half.  I did it myself!  As it stands in this photo, it is too big for the edges of the garage, however since I didn't glue it yet, I was able to shorten to a two slot version.  I still need to shorten the side bars a bit to move the bikes closer together and glue part of it so that it can convert back and forth between narrow 2 rack or full 3 rack if we are taking the bikes somewhere!  Too cool!  Measuring, cutting (with PVC pipe cutter) and putting together was fun and easy.  I pumped up the tires on both bikes so that I could start riding mine again, but the front tire popped so will add buy new tube and replace to my never ending "things to do" list.

Collected on my morning stroll

Lovely Fall leaves collected on my morning stroll
We've had unseasonably warm weather and I've enjoyed the fall colors and Christmas decorations!  Played around with scanning botanicals with black cardstock background.

Once again in beautiful San Diego

So one of the joys of not eating at home is being able to eat dinner without fighting off kittens, right? Well I was eating a fish burrito on the balcony and these guys were almost as pesky as the kittens. The far, fat one is missing a foot and evidently it helps him get handouts!

Grand and glorious!

Here is where I spent the day

With lovely fall vignettes

Lots of animals

They just don't make them like these anymore
Not every day you get to eat lunch with handsome gentlemen in uniform!
or meet princesses with squeak-squeak shoes
I am always reminded how much we have is not needed.  It just takes a tractor ride and

a grapevine wreath with wildflowers and a day spent spinning fluff  on the porch.
Grand and glorious, miss you Miss Jo!

Photo app junkie

I have to admit being addicted to photo apps on my IPad. Since I also downloaded AppsGonefree, I've been collecting more.

Here are a few Linotype images after play.
