A bit of this, a dash of that

Today's creative product
Had a lovely morning with the basket makers.  Billy Owens was kind enough to travel all the way from Missouri to help us put together our white oak baskets.   This is the oval basket.  Last year his son-in-law taught us how to make a yarn basket (in background) and several others.  It amazing to hear the details of starting with a tree and ending with the materials we use to weave our basket with.  Materials and techniques indigenous to the Ozarks, functional, lovely and true to it's roots.  There aren't many people, with the knowledge, who will take the time to do all the work needed to create the materials for these baskets.   We are very fortunate and grateful.

Origami fold with bitty books

Here is an interesting card.  It started with an origami fold page and ended up as a flower with two bitty books, tucked in.  Quite chuffed!  Just followed the inspiration along to see where it went.  Need to do more of these!
