So one of the joys of not eating at home is being able to eat dinner without fighting off kittens, right? Well I was eating a fish burrito on the balcony and these guys were almost as pesky as the kittens. The far, fat one is missing a foot and evidently it helps him get handouts!

Grand and glorious!
Here is where I spent the day |
With lovely fall vignettes |
Lots of animals |
They just don't make them like these anymore |
Not every day you get to eat lunch with handsome gentlemen in uniform! |
or meet princesses with squeak-squeak shoes |
I am always reminded how much we have is not needed. It just takes a tractor ride and |
a grapevine wreath with wildflowers and a day spent spinning fluff | on the porch. |

Photo app junkie
I have to admit being addicted to photo apps on my IPad. Since I also downloaded AppsGonefree, I've been collecting more.
Here are a few Linotype images after play.

Halloween is coming
To stretch my printing skills, I made up a Halloween broadside. It was an excerpt from Shakespeare's Macbeth witches scene.
I couldn't find a font with enough letters to write three lines of the poem. I used five different fonts, six counting the title! This doesn't bode well for future printing. While I was there, I remembered to photograph the Linotype machine.
And finally a kitten photo, Natawny lounging on the porch.

Tree Bones
Bleached, scoured, dead
Still more beautiful than mortal hand creates
Silent sculpture
Curves and highlights
Mysterious hollows beckon
