Catching up with January

Posting a few finishes and a couple of photos from Spin-in.  Was too busy having fun to take photos and the light inside the conference room wasn't very good.

Magical Day

Spent Saturday with Kyle Durrie and her wonderful Type Truck at the St. Andrews Publishing Museum.  Ben Franklin (aka David L. Young) stopped by with his poem "Quill Chill of Free Speech 2012".  Bagels, coffee and letterpress, it doesn't get much better than that.

Works in Progress

I am not one to make resolutions as I am too tempted to start down a new path that comes along.  I've reached SABLE (Stash Beyond Life Expectancy) so don't expect to finish everything.  But plugging along at a variety of projects to keep my interest, eventually most are completed.  This blog has been a good reminder of how much I do complete since once they are done the projects are given away or become part of the landscape. Here are a few works in progress:

Knitted shawl with handspun

Blueberry Tort and Thankful Wool needlework
Handspinning lovely grey alpaca
Finishing off with a highlight from Christmas, Mocha handmade by most beloved son

Sunday Tea

Spent Sunday with BFF in De Funiak Springs.   Lovely tea at the old hotel and view of the Christmas lights.  My light photos were all blurry. :(

Shifting Textures Show

Just finished a group show at the Visual Arts Center of Northwest Florida.  It is down now so I can post a few photos of my pieces.  As my BFF says, "You are really out there!"
